واتر تیوب بویلر WATER TUBE BOILER
نوعی از بویلر است که آب درون لوله ها در جریان است و با آتش که از بیرون به لوله ها برخورد می کند گرم می‌شود. این نوع از بویلرهای واتر تیوب برای فشار کارهای بسیار بالا مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد، آتش تولید شده توسط مشعل در کوره یک جریان گاز داغ (دود) را تولید کرده که تمامی لوله ها را احاطه می کند.
فایر تیوب بویلر FIRE TUBE BOILER
دیگ های بخار فایر تیوب یا (آتش در لوله) شامل لوله ی فولادی بلندی هستند که گازهای داغ تولید شده در کوره آنها از درون این لوله ها عبور کرده و آبی که باید به بخار تبدیل شود اطراف آنها جریان داشته و سیرکوله می‌شود. معمولاً برای ظرفیت های ۱۰۰ کیلوگرم بخار در ساعت تا ۳۰ تن بخار در ساعت از بویلرهای فایر تیوب استفاده می‌شود و برای ظرفیتها و فشارهای بالاتر (۲۵ بار به بالا) از بویلرهای واتر تیوب استفاده می‌شود.
